Meet Our Doctor

The Only Invisalign Elite Provider in Northern Nevada
Coming out of my orthodontic residency in 1981, I was filled with excitement about the positive changes I could make for my patients. Now, more than 30 years later, I still get up in the morning and look forward to the joy on a patient’s face as the braces come off and we all marvel at the changes!

Through the years, I’ve treated many different people, from rock stars to local soccer stars, and they all have a story to tell, along with a common desire to have a confident and healthy smile. The expression of gratitude always comes as a surprise because I am the one who is grateful for the opportunity to create their beautiful smile. When a mom thanks me for the OrthoBus, and how it lets her and her children not miss work and school, it’s a huge win for us both! I can honestly say that I’m excited to get up every morning and do what I do.

Outside the office

Growing up in New York City, I always dreamed of having a small ranch. As a kid I loved going to the rodeo and watching Westerns on TV and the movies. Every day I get the chance to live in the real old west. It sounds cliché, but I love this rural life where I can practice the profession that I love and truly enjoy, and in my spare time go skiing, hiking, sailing, and take advantage of all the other amazing outdoor activities this area has to offer. There’s no place like Tahoe!

My family is the center of my life. My daughter, Kristyn, grew up in Tahoe and now lives in Austin, TX with her husband, Ryan and my two beautiful granddaughters, Ashlynn and Kendall Rose.

Life on a ranch wouldn’t be complete without the animals. I have Teddy, a Goldendoodle, and a German Shorthaired Pointer named Willy. The ponies are named Bo, Chippy, Alpo, and Aska. To round out this menagerie is Sheeba and the 40 Shetland sheep (yup, I said 40!) and Mariah and Pietor, the guardian Llamas.

In the community
Aside from my work, my family, and all the animals, it’s also important for me to be involved in the community. My office has dontated seven marquee signs to our local schools and we sponsor numerous sports and family and academic endeavors, such as the Incline Star Follies, Movies in the Park, Carson Valley Days, and the Sierra Nevada Ballet. I also belong to the Flying Samaritans, a group of physicians, dentists, nurses, and allied health professionals who provide care to indigent farm workers on the Baja Peninsula.

All in all, I have a busy, full life, and I wouldn’t want it any other way!
